Shailene Woodley on four ‘Divergent’ films: ‘Another year of kicking ass’

rs_560x415-130625154749-rs_1024x759-130625090311-1024.Divergent9mh.062513The decision to split Allegiant into two films has been met with mixed feelings between fandom and mainstream media.

But Tris herself, Shailene Woodley, couldn’t be more excited to film a fourth Divergent film as “that’s another year of kicking ass.”

Woodley spoke to Entertainment Weekly at the MTV Movie Awards where she sounded off on the decision to split Allegiant into two movies.

“I just heard that as well,” Woodley said. “I am excited, but my very first thought, if I’m being honest was, ‘Okay. All right. That’s another year of kicking ass. Another year devoted to this character.’ But that’s all right, because I am honored to be Tris, and it is exciting. Divergent was a very fun film to make, and I worked with some great people. It is also really exciting that just after coming off promoting this one, we start filming the next one in like a month. It will be nice to get into it.”

What are your thoughts on the splitting of Allegiant?

VIDEO: The Making of #Divergent

It’s always interesting to see how films are made. When we were on the set of Divergent, there was a lot of questions. How can they make this room look like the testing room? How can they zipline in here? Wait Chicago doesn’t look old. But no fear – movie making magic is at it’s best, and the above video shows some cool things that they were able to do to make Divergent what it is.

Divergent is in theaters now.

‘Allegiant’ Being Split in Two Wasn’t a Surprise

Allegiant being split in two wasn’t really a shock to us, but turns out it wasn’t a shock to Divergent stars Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. They knew that if the movie did well, the final one could be split. They had signed on for FOUR films.

Listen to ‘Not About Angels’ by Birdy from ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ Soundtrack

Well this song has ALLLLLLLLL the feels. Birdy‘s song Not About Angels from The Fault in Our Stars soudntrack is up for listening and it’s probably going to make you cry, it did me. Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort will just be heartbreaking in this film. Good luck trying not to cry listening to this song.
